DUELING HARPS TO TANGLE AGAIN!
Dueling Harps, consisting of harmonica adventurers, Bill Newton and Chris Turner, will team up with the Willie Painter Band for an appearance at Papa Mojo's Roadhouse, 5410-Y Highway 55, Durham NC, 27713, on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 9:30PM. Spontaneous, electrifying jams between two great artists, backed by a rockin' blues band.

Bill Newton (saxophone, harmonica) is a founding member of two Triangle musical institutions: Rebecca and the Hi-Tones and Bill Newton’s Big Blues Quartet. He has recorded with the Indigo Girls, Jon Shain, and others. Chris Turner, hailing from London, England, was the 1975 European Harmonica Champion and has appeared in numerous bands in England, the Triangle, and Providence, Rhode Island. Playing a mix of danceable blues with a nod towards swinging jazz and an eclectic selection of rock and pop tunes, the Willie Painter Band consists of veterans of the Triangle music scene: Willie Painter (guitar), Craig Dittmar (bass) and John Hanks (drums).
